We are working our rebooking with the appointments that were canceled the week of March 20 and working forward. With our guidelines we are very limited to clients per day. Your safety is one our biggest concerns.

[05/31/20] We are looking forward to being back! Below is what you need to know before your appointment.
We have separated stations and there will only be 2 stations in use at any time. We will be monitoring ourselves and will reschedule if any of our team is sick.
We have removed all magazines and refreshment services along with closing the reception area.
All team members are certified in sanitation, disinfection and salon cleaning policies.
Team members and clients will be wearing face masks at all times and will schedule time to sanitize between clients.
What we need from you
Upon arriving please wait in your car until we come and get you.
We ask that you take a minimum of personal items with you. Phone, method of payment and a drink if needed.
Upon entering the salon you will have a temperature check and will be asked to sanitize your hands.
We ask that you Please come alone to your appointments, if you are bringing your child please limit this to one parent. If this isnβt possible please speak to your stylist to work something out for after hour appointments.
Please Please Please be patient with us. We have worked diligently to follow state guidelines and we are rescheduling 10 weeks of appointments. If you havenβt heard from us donβt hesitate to reach out and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Governor Lamont and Governor Raimondo to Align Hair Salon and Barber Shop Reopenings in Early June OK friends and clients. Looks like we may be delayed. We will be in touch. portal.ct.gov As their administrations continue developing strategies for the safe reopening of sectors of the economy amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Ned Lamont of Connecticut and Governor Gina Raimondo of Rhode Island today announced their intention to align the reopening of hair salons and barbershops in....[05/18/20] *****UPDATE***
Guess I spoke to soon. CT has stated we are now pushed to 6/1 at the earliest. This is entirely out of our hands. We have worked diligently to comply with everything they state as required of us. We will be reaching out to reschedule. Thank you all for being so understanding.
Good Monday morning.
As we work towards our reopening on Wednesday this week we ask you to be patient with us. We are booking our appointments in the order that they were canceled starting back from 3/21.
At this time We are allowed to open at 50% capacity which means there will be 2 stylist working with an empty station between us, we will each have one client at a time with no bookings in between.
Our reception area will be closed. We ask that you either wait on the porch or in your car and we will come get you when we are ready.
We ask that you are prompt for your appointments and if you need to cancel please let us know well in advance, we have a long list of clients waiting for appointments.
Please come alone to your appointment, if you do need to bring someone please respect social distancing and the salon guidelines that will be posted on the door as you come in.
PPP is mandatory. Please wear your face masks.
Please understand that there will be a price increase for product used. For a three month regrowth we will need to use 3x the amount of color.
As with everywhere in this new reality if you are feeling ill please stay home, we will be monitoring ourselves also.
We love you but we would rather reschedule than worry about you, your families and our own.

Happy Tuesday! We all have our own opinions letβs keep them to our selves. ππππ #btcwhatwouldyoudo? Good afternoon, I was wondering if you could ask the community for guidance on this, anonymously of course. Iβve always struggled with discussing politics in the salon, but even more so now that Iβm a studio renter. I get so sick of clients political opinions, especially when they are hot-button topics, but have trouble coming up with the proper way to shut it down respectfully.. Iβd like to have some tools to deal with it, especially with the coronavirus and upcoming election! How does everyone deal with clients discussing politics in the salon? - behindthechair.com
[04/26/20] Quick lesson about autoimmune diseases and covid19 . It is a disease where instead of your white blood cells protecting your body from invaders, they turn around and attack your cells, tissues and organs. Chronic fatigue is another symptom. It is not a cold or the flu, you will never get better, and even a nap will not help. Just eating a salad and hitting the gym wonβt slim your face or get the pounds off. Sleeping 10 hours doesnβt leave you well rested, ever.
The last minute changes in plans because that βjust got ran overβ feeling never makes appointments, it just walks in whenever you arenβt ready. Painful joints, muscles and bones, dry skin, breaking hair, hair loss, mood swings, and depression are just the tip of the iceberg. You are also prone to having multiple autoimmune diseases, they typically come in pairs of two. You easily catch viral and bacterial infections. You have days where no matter how hard you try, you just canβt smile for anyone.
I urge you to think twice before passing judgment and thinking our nation is overreacting to the extra measures being taken to curb the spread of this virus. YOU might be able to recover from it no problem however, carry it to someone with an autoimmune disease and that individual wonβt be as lucky.
I am watching the ones who will take the time to read this entire post and react. Please, in honor of someone who is fighting Severe Asthma, Addisonβs disease, Endometriosis, M.E, Rheumatoid Arthritis, POTS, MCAD, Sjogren's, Scleroderma, Hashimoto Disease, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Fibromyalgia, Lupus, Sarcoidosis, Hepatitis, Raynauld's Syndrome, Diabetes, Mold Illness, Celiac, CROHNβS, Ulcerative Colitis, Pemphigus, SPS, MS, PBC, Psoriatic Arthritis, CIDP, MMN, GPA , CRPS, LUPUS and every other autoimmune disease, copy and paste to your page and reply "DONE" on mine.

Elite Hair Design has news, it is with extreme sadness that due to Covid 19 the state of Connecticut is closing all hair and nail salons as of 8:00 pm this evening.
