[08/06/20]   Just letting our clients know that Brushworks Salon has our power back on! We will be open for business as usual! If you can’t get through on the phone, it’s because our phone service isn’t back up yet. We will attempt to reschedule our clients from yesterday, August 5th. Please be patient with us as COVID guidelines are still with us! Hope you all are well!
[06/26/20]   As we finish out our 4th week back in the salon, I would like to express my sincerest thanks to my incredible team of stylists. This is no joke, this is hard. We have never had to work under circumstances like this. Each day we come to the salon, gear up, and put a smile on to greet our clients. These ladies have been positive, productive, and have gone that extra step to make each and every client feel happy to be back in our salon. It’s scary, it’s exhausting, and both mentally and physically tiring. But we love what we do, and we love seeing all of our clients again! I hope things get a “little more” back to normal in the future, but if they don’t, there’s no other group of ladies I would want to steam up my face shield with than them!❤️😊
[06/06/20]   First week down! We would like to say “Thank You” to all of our wonderful clients that made this first week back so special! We were prepared, and you all came, and called, and made us feel like we were so appreciated. One client today said” I feel like it’s Christmas Day!” Everyone was patient, appreciative, and in a great mood! This is why we do what we do! So thank you all! Can’t wait to see everyone in the coming weeks😊And a big shout out to my team, you are the best group of co workers ever! Love you girls❤️You all rocked it, even in those dreaded face shields and masks😂😂🌸
[05/25/20]   Brushworks Salon will be open for business on Tuesday June 2nd. With that being said, things will be different! Because of the Covid19 epidemic, we have many new rules and regulations to follow.
1. We can no longer accept walk ins. Appointments only.
2. We no longer have a waiting room. Clients are to wait in their cars to be
called in for their appointment. You can tap on the window or call the
salon to let us know you are here.
3. Clients MUST wear a face mask.
4. We will be doing a forehead thermometer scan before you come in.
5. We will ask you 5 questions about your health.
6. We ask that you come to your appointment alone. No children, husband,
significant other
7. Please leave personal belongings in your car.
8. Upon entering we will ask you to sanitize your hands.
9. We will bring you directly to our chair, and ask that you stay in that
chair for the duration of your appointment, of course leaving for the
shampoo area, or bathroom.
10. We are being told to keep talking to a minimum, and NO talking during
the blow dry. We love to talk to you so no worries!
11. We are enforcing the 6 foot social distance rule, as much as possible.

Well if you think that’s a lot, you should see what we must do just to keep everything disinfected, and adhere to all of these new regulations!

We ask that you be prompt for your appointments, now more than ever! We can only have one client at a time, per stylist. We can not have all of the stylists at work together any longer. We are staggering our shifts, and trying to take care of staying safe, healthy, and on time. If one person is late, it will hold up the whole salon, as we have to also stagger clients coming and going. If you must cancel, PLEASE give us at least 24 hour notice. We can only work on one person at a time, and if you are in for a 2 hour appointment and don’t show up, it leaves the stylist without anyone for that time. And time is so important right now.

I know, this sounds very different, believe me, it’s difficult for us too! I would like to thank our faithful clients for their patience, and reaching out to us. We cherish each and every one of you❤️We will get used to this new normal, and hopefully move forward and get back to some routine. We will strive to make your visits as pleasant as we can, and look forward to seeing everyone soon!😊stay safe, stay well❤️🙏🏻☀️☀️

We will be calling all of our clients that were on our book starting March 19, and moving forward. That’s the fair way to do this, as those clients have waited the longest. If you don’t hear from your stylist by Friday May 29, call the salon and leave a message. We will get back to you! 203-798-2789
[05/18/20]   Hello to all of our clients and friends. Update from Governor Lamont’s office, all hair salons and barber shops are not opening on Wednesday, May 20th. We were not opening that day because I felt that it was not safe, not for us, and not for our clients. Our posted day to reopen was June 2nd. We will now have to wait and see what our Governor says. Please stay safe, and check back for updates🙏🏻❤️😊
kitchenertoday.com Salons and barbers to take a financial hit as they start to reopen What we are facing as we go back...... kitchenertoday.com Salons and barbershops are starting to reopen in some parts of Canada with more on the way, but the industry says the measures needed to keep everyone safe while getting a haircut will mean a big financial hit.
[05/12/20]   Brushworks Salon would like to take this time to thank all of our clients for your continued support. That means everything to us! We would like to inform you that after careful consideration, we have decided to re open on June 2nd. This date may have to be re-evaluated, as things change quickly! Your health and safety is our highest priority, and we feel that this will give us the time we need to prepare for you. Please be assured, the highest level of disinfection is being used. We have all of our guidelines posted in our salon for you to look over. We miss each and every one of you, and can’t wait to reconnect. Please be patient, as we will be reaching out to each and every client. The rebooking process will require more patience, as we are required to cut down the amount of stylists working at a time, and can only schedule one client to one stylist at a time. We will be working split shifts to allow all of us to be able to book accordingly. Add into that, disinfection of everything after each client is finished. I will post in the next few days how these new requirements will affect your visit with us. Stay safe, stay healthy❤️🙏🏻☀️Debbie
[05/01/20]   Good Morning! I’m sure by now most of you know, the Governor has approved Hair salons to reopen on Wednesday, May 20th. I have been preparing for this for the last few weeks. I can assure each and every client that when they walk into Brushworks Salon, they will be in a sanitized environment. We have all of our sanitation procedures in order, and will do everything we can to keep everyone safe. Things will be different, there are now rules to adhere to. I will start with appointments. We are now only allowed to take one client at a time. No more squeeze ins, no more walk ins, at least for the time being. This is very hard for us, as this takes away half of our income. We will be open for our regular hours, and might add another day. I can only have a certain number of stylists working at the same time. We ask that only the client come for their appointment, no guests, as we have to limit the amount of people in the salon. If you have an appointment and must cancel, please give us 24 hours notice if possible, as we are only allowed one client at a time. There is no longer a waiting area, you will either let us know you’re here by coming to the front door, or calling us from your car, as we have to have everyone wait for their appointment in their cars. No longer a coffee area or even water! We have to ask every client a few questions before they enter, a forehead temperature check, bring a mask to wear, and use hand sanitizer as you walk in, then have you come directly to our chair. You will be asked to remain in that chair for the duration of your visit, of course with a break in between! These are the rules I am being told to adhere to. I am asking everyone to please wear a mask upon entering our salon. If you forget your mask, we will have them for sale. We will also be selling capes you can purchase on the day of your appointment. This would be only yours, you will take it home after each visit, launder it, and bring it back for each appointment. That way you will have peace of mind that no one else is wearing your cape. We of course will wash and disinfect every item after every use. We will be calling everyone as soon as we decide on a schedule. We will be starting with the people that were booked to come in right before we closed, as they have been waiting the longest. We ask for your patience, as we know everyone needs to get in ASAP!! We ask that you please be on time for your appointment as we are trying to get in as many people as we can within the new time frame. If you have a cough, a fever, are living with a sick or quarantined person, or had any symptoms within the last 14 days we ask that you reschedule your appointment. Due to the extra time that will be required to keep everything sanitized the way that is expected with our current situation, we will be adding a small fee to account for the time it takes. This is not something I want to do, but must do. We are all anxious to be back at work, as this has been very hard on us to be out of work for so long. I will post more updates as we get more information! Please know, we are still selling gift certificates, just leave us a message. 🌸 Mother’s Day is coming soon🌸be well, and hope to see you all soon❤️
[04/24/20]   Good morning! Another bright cheery day in Ct.!! Just when it seems like we might have light at the end of all this, it changes yet again! I’m all for keeping us safe and well, so no complaints here. Seems like we might be looking at an opening date in June now. Please know, we are working on things daily to prepare for this re opening. Thank you all for your patience, we want to be back too! Stay well, be safe🙏🏻😊
[04/22/20]   Just checking in with everyone! Seems like May 20th might bring us back! We have been working on just how we can reopen the best way possible. I have been in discussions with my staff, as well as other salon professionals to get a grasp of how this will all work. Things will be different moving ahead, that you can be sure of. We are getting our sanitation procedures in place, ordering supplies, and updating our salon protocol. When we get a definite date to reopen, we will be reaching out to all of our clients. We ask that you continue to be patient, as we know everyone needs to get in ASAP! Please stay safe, stay well, and look for our post with any updates we may have! Thank you all for the messages, and check ins! We appreciate you, and can’t wait until we can see everyone again❤️
